This is just too lovely. Often in fanfic, I find myself buying in characters who sound more like variations upon canon than an extension of canon. It's all too uncommon to find the more organic latter type. But this is one of them.
Well done.

I can see that kiss happening before all that Lav-Mess.You did a great job about their characterizations.And Ron was delicious , so clueless:as he just can be :)

Hmmm...a nice take on the HBP- snog-a-fest. Although if Hermione had kissed Ron during the summer...then I think that he would go even lower in my esteem than he is now. You've got to be thicker than a troll if a girl kisses you and then you do what Ron proceeded to do in HBP.
Author's Response: Yeah, I tried to explain that away as Ron getting carried away with Harry arriving sooner than expected...what with Fleur and the excitement over Malfoy in Diagon Alley and all. That they both sort of pushed it to the left in their brains and were getting back to it when The Felix Situation happened...

Gods, I love it. I can never do missing scenes, but this is just amazing. I don't know if it makes what Ron did more or less comprehensible, but its fantastic in its characterization. REally enjoyable and thought provoking.
Author's Response: Early on in HBP there were things that stuck in my sulci: Hermione was obviously annoyed with Ron's reactions to Fleur; Ron's near desperate attempts to get Hermione to notice him when she's telling Harry how he's gotten taller ("I'm tall.." *breaks my heart everytime); Ron telling Ginny that she "doesn't know what she's talking about"; and Ron "would not look at" Hermione right before the canaries.
The "would not look at her" sticks with me more than the rest...and this is where I ended up when Tee asked "why?"

You KNOW the squeeage I have over this. It's almost as great as the squeeage I have over the very fact taht you submitted it. Just absolutely brilliant and I can SO see this happening. AND it has inspired the hell out of me and very well may have gotten me out of my quote fic jam...more on that later.
Regardless....it's brilliant. Characterization is FLAWLESS, which makes sense since you ARE Hermione, and you are married to Ron...on steroids...
I love it. Almost as much as I love you.
